As the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) approaches, statistics reveal a decrease in the number of students participating from Karnali Province compared to the previous year.
This year, the SEE examination will witness 35,812 students from Karnali Province, marking a decrease from the 38,970 students who appeared last year. This decline amounts to 3,162 fewer students taking the exam this year.
The Directorate of Education Development reports that out of the total participants, 17,623 are male students, while 18,158 are female students. To facilitate the examination process, a total of 186 examination centers have been designated across the province.
Analyzing the district-wise data, Surkhet stands out with the highest number of students, totaling 8,348, who will sit for the SEE examination. Surkhet boasts 33 examination centers to accommodate these students. In Rukum West, 3,593 students will appear for the exam across 23 examination centers.
Salyan, with 5,882 students participating, has 25 examination centers set up. However, the mountainous districts exhibit significantly lower student numbers, with Dolpa having only 733 students across four examination centers.
In Jajarkot, 4,094 students will be distributed among 22 examination centers, while Dailekh will see 5,257 students across 25 examination centers.
Humla has arranged six examination centers for its 1,195 students, while Mugu has eight centers for its 1,113 students. Kalikot, on the other hand, has 24 examination centers accommodating 3,736 students.
Jumla will host 2,557 students across 16 examination centers.
Dipa Hamal, the appointed director of the Directorate of Education Development, assures that all preparations for the SEE examination in Karnali Province have been finalized.
