The Office of the Controller of Examinations, Mid-West University, has published a notice that the 4th Convocation Ceremony of Mid-West University is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, Ashar 03, 2083 (June 17, 2026) at 10:00 AM at the Central Office of Mid-West University, Birendranagar. Students whose applications to participate in the ceremony have been submitted and approved must arrive at the venue by 9:00 AM on the same day, show their gown set or the receipt of the convocation application fee for entry, and take their seats at the designated location. Other details regarding this ceremony are as follows:
1) Regarding the Gown Set (Gown/Scarf/Cap):
Gown sets will not be distributed on the day of the ceremony. Therefore, concerned students must collect their gown sets beforehand at their convenience as specified below. Students who do not wear the gown set will not be allowed to sit with the graduating students.
A) Gown sets will be distributed from Jestha 31, 2083 to Ashar 02, 2083 (including holidays) from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
B) Location for gown set distribution: Mid-West University, Office of the Controller of Examinations, Birendranagar-8, Kuinepani.
C) Documents required to receive the gown set: A photocopy of the citizenship certificate or a photocopy of any identification document revealing identity.
2) Regarding the Attire:
Students attending the ceremony must wear the gown set provided by Mid-West University over their personal attire.
3) Regarding Certificate Distribution:
A) Certificates will be distributed from the designated certificate distribution counter at the convocation venue.
B) Students who applied to participate in the convocation ceremony but could not attend on that day can collect their certificates from the Office of the Controller of Examinations on regular office-opening days after the convocation ceremony.
4) Regarding the Refund of Gown Set Deposit:
The deposit amount of the concerned students will be refunded only after the gown set is returned in accordance with the following:
A) The period for returning the gown set is from Ashar 05, 2083, to Ashar 11, 2083 (excluding holidays) from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
B) Students must return the gown set to Mid-West University, Office of the Controller of Examinations.
C) Upon submitting the gown set clearance certificate received during the return, the receipt provided by the Office of the Controller of Examinations for the application form, a photocopy of proof of identity, proof of bank account verification, and an application to the Office of the Controller of Examinations, the deposit amount will be refunded to the individual's bank account. In the case of students who applied but were not approved, an application for a refund must be submitted within 15 days from the publication date of this notice.
D) The deposit amount will not be refunded to students who fail to return the gown set within the specified dates.
Note: If any discrepancies are found in the photos, certificates, or citizenship of the students who have applied to participate in the convocation ceremony, information regarding this will be sent to the concerned student's email address. Accordingly, the concerned student must complete the necessary tasks and contact the Office of the Controller of Examinations by Jestha 29, 2083; otherwise, they will not be allowed to participate in the convocation ceremony.

Update June 3, 2026
The Examination Management Office, Mid-West University, has published a notice regarding the Publication of the List of Students Receiving Medals and Certificates at the Fourth Convocation Ceremony. During the Fourth Convocation Ceremony to be organized on Ashar 03, 2083 (June 17, 2026), the Chancellor's Medal will be awarded to one student from the Dean's List who achieved the highest CGPA at the Postgraduate (Master's) level, and the Vice-Chancellor's Medal will be awarded to the student who achieved the highest CGPA at the Graduate (Bachelor's) level.
Accordingly, the list of regular students who passed all semesters and secured the highest CGPA to qualify for the Chancellor's and Vice-Chancellor's Medals has been published on the Mid-West University, Examination Management Office website: https://muexam.edu.np.
If any students other than those mentioned in the published list have a valid basis for receiving the medals and certificates, they are notified to contact the Mid-West University, Examination Management Office in Surkhet with supporting evidence to file a claim or objection by Jestha 25, 2083 (June 8, 2026), before 5:00 PM. Otherwise, the medals and certificates will be distributed in accordance with this notice.

Update May 24, 2026
Mid-West University, Examinations Management Office, Surkhet, has published a notice to inform all concerned that the 4th Convocation Ceremony of Mid-West University, which was postponed as per the notice issued by the Office of the Controller of Examinations, Surkhet, on 25th Baisakh 2083, will now be held on 03rd Asar 2083 (17 June 2026).
Furthermore, students wishing to participate in the convocation ceremony must duly fill out and submit the online application form in the format prescribed by the Office of the Controller of Examinations, Surkhet, by 13th Jestha 2083 (27 May 2026) until 5:00 PM. For further information regarding this matter, please visit the office website at www.muexam.edu.np.
Note: Only those interested students who have passed their Bachelor's, Master's, or M.Phil. levels and received their transcripts from Mid-West University, or who have completed their Ph.D. within the period from 1st Falgun 2081 (13 February 2025) to 08th Jestha 2083 (22 May 2026), will be eligible to participate in this convocation ceremony.

Mid-West University, Examinations Management Office, Surkhet, has published a notice inviting online form submissions for the 4th Convocation Ceremony. The university invites eligible students to apply online for the ceremony scheduled for Jestha 05, 2083 (May 19, 2026). Applications must be submitted by Baisakh 20, 2083 (May 03, 2026) at 5:00 PM.
Eligibility
Students who have passed their Bachelor’s, Master’s, M.Phil., or Ph.D. and received their transcripts between February 13, 2025 (Falgun 01, 2081) and April 27, 2026 (Baisakh 14, 2083) are eligible.
