Collaborative Effort to Elevate Educational Standards in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City

A pact has been formalized with Kathmandu University to enhance the quality of education in community schools within Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city of Kailali.

Mayor Gopal Hamal emphasized that the agreement outlines a five-year commitment to elevate educational standards for quality and inclusive education.

The agreement entails the preparation and implementation of a program action plan for the next five years, based on identified needs. It specifies that the program will commence in five schools in the initial year, gradually expanding to encompass all schools within the sub-metropolitan city during the contract period.

Kathmandu University's School of Education, through its CPEC unit, will execute the program. The CPEC unit will commence by conducting a comprehensive study of schools under Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city to identify specific needs. The agreement was formally signed by Prof. Dr. Balchandra Luitel, Dean of the School of Education representing Kathmandu University, and Mayor Hamal representing Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City.

The signing ceremony witnessed the presence of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bhola Thapa, Dean of the School of Arts Ekku Maya Pun, and other department heads from the School of Education."
