Bhaktapur, Nepal - The National Examination Board (NEB) has clarified that the theoretical subject examinations for Class 12 will proceed as initially planned from May 4th to May 16th, 2025 (Baisakh 21st to Jestha 2nd, 2082) at the previously designated examination centers.
This announcement follows an earlier notice regarding the postponement of exams that were originally scheduled to resume on April 23rd, 2024 (Baisakh 11th, 2081). The current notice emphasizes that despite the initial disruption, the final schedule for the remaining examinations will be adhered to. This decision comes even as discussions and agreements continue between the Government of Nepal's Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, and the Nepal Teachers' Federation.
In a related matter, the NEB has also addressed the issue of misleading information circulating on social media concerning the Class 12 annual examinations. The Board urged students and the public to rely solely on official announcements from the NEB and relevant authorities and to disregard any unverified information.
The NEB has stated that all necessary arrangements are in place to conduct the Class 12 examinations in a regular, dignified, organized, and peaceful environment during the scheduled period. They have appealed to all stakeholders, including center superintendents, teachers, staff, security personnel, parents, journalists, and others, for their cooperation in ensuring the smooth and successful completion of the examinations.
The notice, issued by the Controller of Examinations on May 1st, 2025 (Baisakh 18th, 2082), confirms the commitment to the announced examination schedule. Students are advised to continue their preparations accordingly and refer to official NEB communications for any further updates.
