CCTV Cameras Installed to Enhance Educational Oversight in Maiwakhola Schools

In a move towards enhancing educational management in the Maiwakhola Rural Municipality of Taplejung, CCTV cameras have been installed in the proposed model Narayani Secondary School under the administrative center of the municipality. This initiative aims to support the creation of an inclusive, timely, and organized educational environment, focusing on elevating current educational standards. The school has implemented CCTV cameras to monitor the premises, offices, and classrooms, as disclosed by the educational institution.

According to Vijay Prakash Banem, the Chairperson of Maiwakhola Rural Municipality, the installation of CCTV cameras in the Narayani Secondary School is part of the educational quality improvement program under the Sample School Development Program initiated by the Nepali government. The chairperson reported that 26 new CCTV cameras have been installed in the school, with an additional 11 existing cameras undergoing maintenance and operation. He also shared that the school has initiated digital attendance for teachers, and a smartboard has been integrated for educational purposes.

Similarly, the municipality has also planned to install CCTV cameras within Maiwakhola Secondary School as part of the ongoing Sample School Development Program. The Chairperson stated that preparations are underway to install CCTV cameras alongside the implementation of digital attendance for teachers and the use of smartboards. He further mentioned the gradual expansion of internet services and the implementation of school development programs in other secondary schools within the municipality.
