The new university of Nepal, Bagmati Province University, has issued a notice regarding a call for applications from existing campuses in Bagmati province to merge as its constituent college.

The university called an application from colleges currently affiliated with other universities in Nepal to transition into their constituent college.

This initiative aligns with the Bagmati Province Higher Education Act, 2078, the Province Higher Education Regulations, 2079, and the University Statute, 2081.

Campuses interested in becoming constituent colleges are required to submit their applications along with necessary documents within one month from the date of this notice, as per the specified format in Schedule 5 of the regulations.

Application Submission Deadline: Chaitra 28, 2081 (April 10, 2025)

Application Submission at : the Secretariat of the Bagmati Province University Guardian Committee in Hetauda.

Required Documents

(a) Campus Establishment/Affiliation Approval Letters,

(b) Approved Statute of the Campus,

(c) Audited Report of the Campus for the previous fiscal year,

(d) Decision of the Campus Management Committee regarding operating the college as a constituent campus of Bagmati Province University and termination of affiliation with the existing/parent university,

(e) Profile of the current status of the campus, operated programs, student numbers accordingly, level-wise (permanent, temporary, and contract) details of teachers and staff, their salary details, tuition fee details, financial and physical assets of the campus, including financial liabilities,

(f) Feasibility study report of the educational programs that can be operated and desired to be operated at the campus.

The university will review the applications based on the justification and feasibility of the proposed programs and the university’s managerial capabilities.

Eligible campuses will be gradually integrated as constituent colleges in accordance with the legal framework of Bagmati Province Higher Education Act, 2078, Higher Education Regulations, 2079, and the University Statute, 2081.
