Rajarshi Janak University, Dhanusha, Janakpur get its vice-chancellor, Professor Amar Prasad Yadav. Prime Minister and Chancellor of Rajarshi Janak University Pushpa Kamal Dahal appointed Professor Amar Prasad Yadav as the Vice-Chancellor of Rajarshi Janak University.
Professor Yadav has been appointed according to the Ministry of Education. The post had been vacant for one and a half years. Despite the formation of the recommendation committee, the appointment was postponed since the names couldn't be approved.
The recommendation committee was formed by Education Secretary Ram Krishna Subedi and National Planning Commission Education member Rameshchandra Paudel chaired by Education Minister Ashok Kumar Rai recommended Yadav along with Mahananda Chalise and Kshitiz Upadhayay Dhungel. Based on the recommendation, Chancellor appoints Vice-chancellor. Due to the absence of the Vice-Chancellor, the university's officers are also vacant.
