Agriculture and Forestry University is set to introduce an Agricultural e\Engineering program in a bid to enhance agricultural education and innovation. With plans to commence operations from the upcoming academic session, the university will establish a dedicated Agricultural Engineering College. The recent 12th regular meeting of the university senate saw unanimous approval for the establishment of the Agricultural Engineering College. The college will initially accommodate a total of 48 students, paving the way for aspiring agricultural engineers to pursue their academic interests.
Arjun Kumar Shrestha, the Dean of the University, expressed enthusiasm about the prospects, highlighting the significance of this development. Currently, the Eastern Engineering College in Dhankuta stands as the sole institution offering education in this specialized field within the region.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Punya Prasad Regmi emphasized the broader implications of the initiative.
