The Kathmandu Metropolitan City is set to organize supplementary classes in Mathematics, Science, and English specifically tailored for Grade 10 students in community schools. Furthermore, the Metropolitan City has taken the initiative to extend financial aid to teachers engaged in instructing these additional classes. As part of the Metropolitan's Pride Plan, it has launched a program titled 'Gari Khane Shikshya, Mahanagar ko Ichhya,’ actively pursuing measures to enhance the academic performance of students.
Herembaraj Kandel, the principal of Bishwa Niketan Secondary School in Tripureshwar, expressed that the financial support from the metropolis would bring relief to students who are required to self-fund their fees for these extra classes.
Despite the school conducting these additional classes during the winter holidays, the Metropolitan has urged schools to create a schedule outlining the daily itinerary of the supplementary classes. Schools are requested to include details such as the subject teacher's name and the amount required to be provided to the subject teacher per class period. This information should be compiled and submitted to the Education Department within a week.
