Rastriya Banijya Bank Limited conducts an open, competitive written examination for the post of Senior Assistant (Level 5) in the Administration Service, either in the Administration or Cash group-वरिष्ठ सहायक तथा वरिष्ठ सहायक (नगद). The selection exam comprises both a written examination and an interview.
Written Examination (200 Marks)
The selection process begins with a written examination comprising two papers, each carrying 100 marks, with a total of 200 marks. The medium of language for the written exam will be Nepali or English, or both Nepali and English. Candidates must use only a black ballpoint pen/ink pen for writing in the answer booklet.
- The first paper covers Banking, Accounting, and Computer (Information Technology) topics.
- The second paper focuses on Management, Mathematics, and Service-related topics.
To pass, candidates must score at least 40 marks on each paper. Both papers feature subjective-type questions and last 3 hours each. For subject-based questions, the format can be:
- A single long question.
- Two or more parts of a single question.
- Two or more short notes under one question.
This comprehensive examination ensures that candidates possess the necessary knowledge and skills in key areas relevant to the Senior Assistant role, enabling them to contribute effectively to the bank's operations.
Interview
The interview is of 30 marks.

As per the prevailing rules of Rastriya Banijya Bank.
Probation Period
6 months for female employees and 1 year for male employees.
Other Service Conditions
As per the Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) Limited, Employee Service Regulations, 2070 (including the seventh amendment).
Posting of the Apointee
Employees appointed to Senior Assistant and Senior Assistant (Cash) positions (Level 5) will be posted to work in the respective provinces and their branch offices (for Bagmati Province, offices outside the Kathmandu Valley) for a minimum of 7 years.
Eligibility
Academic Qualification
Bachelor's degree with a major in Economics from a recognized institution in Management, Commerce, Public Administration, or Humanities.
Age Limit
As of the online application deadline, applicants must be at least 18 years old and no older than 35. However, women and disabled candidates are eligible to apply up to the age of 40. These age limits do not apply to current permanent employees of the bank.
