The Public Service Commission of Nepal conducts an open and internal competitive examination to recruit candidates for the Head Field Assistant (Non-Gazetted Second) position.
This position offers permanent employment within the forestry service sector. Selected candidates must be willing to work at any designated laboratory or office. Salary and benefits are provided according to the prevailing rules and regulations.
This examination aims to identify and select the most qualified individuals. The selection process is rigorous and consists of two main phases: a written examination and an interview.
This is the first phase of the selection process, with 200 marks. The medium of language for the written exam will be Nepali or English, or both Nepali and English. Candidates have to give two papers. The written examination for the first and second papers will be conducted separately.
The first paper is divided into two subjects: General Awareness, Public Management and Job-Based Knowledge. The second paper is about Job Based Knowledge. Each of these papers carries full marks of 100 and pass marks of 40. The first paper consists of objective MCQs, which lasts for 45 minutes. The second paper consists of subjective long and short questions, and the exam duration is 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Candidates who pass the written examination will proceed to the second phase, which is the interview. This phase carries 30 marks and evaluates the candidate's interpersonal skills, professional demeanor, and suitability for the role of an assistant in the bank.
For Forestry Service, Botany Group, Head Field Assistant Position:
Candidates must be at least 18 and not over 35 years old. The maximum age limit for women and people with disability is 40 years.
There is no age limit for permanent staff of the Government of Nepal currently in service.
The written exam will cover questions from all syllabus sections as much as possible.
Notwithstanding anything written in the subject matter of the papers/subjects under this curriculum scheme, any laws, acts, rules, and policies included in the curriculum that have been amended, repealed, or added within 3 months prior to the exam date will be considered as the ones in effect for the exam.
