Public Service Commission conducts an open and internal competitive examination to recruit candidates for the Daroga (Non-Gazetted Second) position.
This position offers permanent employment within the forestry service sector. Selected candidates must be willing to work at any designated forestry facility. Salary and benefits are provided according to the prevailing rules and regulations.

Knowledge of tactile and vocal commands used in elephant handling.
Knowledge related to preparing food and identifying the diet for elephants.
Ability to determine if an elephant has eaten, identify diseases, recognize a healthy elephant, prepare nutritional supplements, and knowledge of food collection.
Ability to identify trees and climb them for collecting leafy grass.
Proficiency in tactile and vocal commands used in elephant handling, and knowledge of maintaining cleanliness of the elephant's living area, bathing, and grazing areas.
Knowledge of identifying and controlling a musth elephant.
General knowledge of identifying wildlife and precautions to take while observing them.
Procedures to follow while capturing, transferring, and researching wildlife.
Provisions related to managing, controlling, and granting leave to subordinate employees.
Knowledge of protecting and caring for pregnant elephants and newborn calves.
For Forest Service, Elephant Group, Daroga
The applicant should have knowledge of elephant care, feeding, health, and elephant compound (living area), be able to control aggressive elephants, know how to train elephants, and have 4 years of experience in elephant-related work.
Candidates must be at least 18 and not over 35 years old. The maximum age limit for women and people with disability is 40 years.
There is no age limit for permanent staff of the Government of Nepal currently in service.
The responsibility of providing all necessary materials and resources to conduct the practical examination lies with the requesting body. The practical examination will only be held at designated locations where the necessary resources are available.
The practical examination and interview will be conducted on the same day. The results will be published based on the combined scores of the practical examination and the interview according to the merit order.
