The Public Service Commission (Lok Sewa Aayog) conducts open and competitive examinations to recruit candidates for the Amin (Suveyor) position.
The examination for Amin (Surveyor) is conducted in two phases: Written Examination and Interview.
The written examination consists of first and second papers, each worth 100 marks, for a total of 200 marks. These papers are conducted separately on the same day. The medium of the written examination will be either Nepali or English, depending on the language in which the course content is taught. However, both languages can be used to clarify the content as needed.
The first paper comprises of objective multiple-choice questions from two subjects:
The subject "General Awareness and Public Management" consists of 20 questions, each valued at two marks, totaling 40 marks. The "Job-Based Knowledge" subject will include 30 questions, each valued at two marks, totaling 60 marks.
Both subjects combined have 50 questions, each worth 2 marks. To pass the 45-minute exam, an examinee should score at least 40 marks out of 100.
In the objective multiple-choice exam, the examinee should write the answer in English capital letters: A, B, C, D. If small letters are written: a, b, c, d, or any other indication, all the answer sheets will be canceled.
In the multiple-choice question, incorrect answers result in a 20% deduction, and no points are given or deducted for unanswered questions. The use of a calculator is not allowed during the multiple-choice question examination.
The second written examination paper will contain subjective questions about Job-Based Knowledge. It will include 12 short answer questions (worth 60 marks) and four long answer questions (worth 40 marks), totaling 16 questions worth 100 marks.
For subjective questions, a single long question or a long question with two or more parts or short notes under a single question may be asked.
Each section of the subjective papers will have separate answer sheets, and the examinee must write the answers in the answer book of the same section.
Interview (30 Marks)
Candidates who pass the written exam will proceed to the interview, which is worth 30 marks.
For Engineering Service, Survey Group, Amin
Must have passed S.L.C. or equivalent with Mathematics subject from a recognized educational institution and have received at least 1 (one) year of training in Survey or Geomatics.
However, for the employees already employed in the Engineering Service, Survey Group before the publication of the notice, the educational qualification prescribed at the time of entry into that service and group shall be considered the minimum academic qualification.
Candidates must be at least 18 and not over 35 years old. The maximum age limit for women and people with disability is 40 years.
There is no age limit for permanent staff of the Government of Nepal currently in service.
Notwithstanding anything written in this syllabus, any amendments made to the laws, acts, rules, regulations, and policies included in the syllabus three months before the exam date will be considered part of this syllabus.
The courses implemented before the course effective date do not apply to the examination.
