Two technology-focused organizations have launched a challenge to coders across Nepal: harness the power of AI to tackle some of the nation's most pressing social issues.
From today (June 12) until June 18, tech enthusiasts can register for the month-long Impact Hack. This event, a hybrid of virtual and in-person participation, is presented by Outside, a mission-driven design and technology studio based in Kathmandu, and Ai4Growth, an AI-centric educational initiative spearheaded by King's College and NAAMII.
While the winning team will receive a prize of 25,000 Rs., the organizers emphasize the broader benefits of participation. Every participant will be matched with an experienced mentor who will guide them through the development process and help with brainstorming innovative ideas.
The competition kicks off on June 20. Teams of four will have one month to create and refine their solutions, which they will present to a jury on July 30.
Teams of four can register now through this form. For more details about the hackathon, including eligibility criteria and the event timeline, visit this link.
