"National Conference on Integrating Biological Resources for Prosperity" going to be organized jointly by "Nepal Biological Society (NBS)" and "Botanical Society of Nepal (BSON)" in Biratnagar, Nepal.
Introduction:
The livelihood and economic well-being of people in developing countries like Nepal are more closely linked with biodiversity to every aspect of life for food, health and nutrition, culture, climate, and aesthetic values. Further the diversity of wild and domesticated species provides genetic resources from which crop varieties or livestock breeds are obtained with desired characteristics. Protection of the rich biodiversity of Nepal is a priority, however this natural resource is not well integrated for the development of the country. There is a great potential of prosperity by using the biodiversity in Nepal.
