Kathmandu University-Lecture Series Interaction with Prof. Dr. Prem Prakash Bahuguna

The Department of Civil and Geomatics Engineering (DCGE) has been organizing the Kathmandu University-Lecture Series (KULS) at Kathmandu University with the aim to give practical information on current issues of R&D, policy for their implementation in the field of Civil and Geomatics to the students, faculties and invitees. The prominent experts in the field are invited to share their knowledge with KULS participants. The chief guest of this round of KULS interaction is Prof. Dr. Prem Prakash Bahuguna, Professor, Dept. of Mining Engineering, Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad, India.

Prof. Prem Prakash Bahuguna completed his Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering in 1981 (Advance surveying & Photogrammetry) getting a Gold medal and Ph.D (Civil Engineering) in 1993 from Roorkee University. His fields of specialization in Geomatics and Advanced Surveying (Geodesy, Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing), Modern surveying (GPS and GIS), and Mine surveying (co-relation survey). He has 14 years field experience as Survey Officer in Survey of India and teaching mine surveying and advanced survey to undergraduate and post graduate engineering students in different positions from Lecturer to Professor. He has numerous publications in Civil and Geomatics Engineering and handled numbers of consultancy Projects. He has started a new M.Tech course in Geomatics Engineering at the ISM Dhanabd where he has been heading the Geomatics/ Mine Surveying Section of the department of Mining Engineering for last 15 years.
