Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) and National Youth Council (NYC) have collaborated to organize the International Conference on Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) on 21st to 23rd October 2019 (Kartik 4-6, 2076) at Kathmandu, Nepal.
The Conference is the first of its kind in Nepal and is the premier forum for the presentation of new advances and research results, policies and review papers on STI of Nepal.
This conference is a prestigious event, organized to provide an international platform for the planners and policy makers, academicians, researchers, managers, industrialists, and students to share their research findings with global experts, especially among Nepali Diaspora.
The conference basically aims to connect Nepali youth working in the field of Science, Technology and innovation (STI) with the Nepali Diaspora proficiently engaged in the same field around the globe.
The resolution of the conference is expected to provide a concrete road map with sector-wise prioritization for mainstreaming STI in the National Development System.
Objectives:
This conference intends to pave the way to congregate Nepali Scientists from within the country as well as diaspora and absorb their specific knowledge, skills, and experiences to motivate the young minds in Nepal.
It is expected to provide direction to formulate and transform policies into practices being youth-centric for the science and technology advancement, which ultimately contributes in the sustainable development.
Specific objectives of the conference are as follows:
Themes and Topics
Topics of the conference are but not limited to Health and Medicine, Water and Energy, Food and Agriculture, Transport and Tourism, Information and Communication Technology, Forest and Environment, Disaster Risk Reduction, Indigenous Knowledge and Technology, Fundamental Sciences, Applied Sciences, Emerging Technology, Clean and Green Sciences, Economics and Management, Policy, and Philosophy.
Any paper presented in the conference must address one or more of the following themes.
Evaluation and Notification
Submitted extended abstracts will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee. If the extended abstract is accepted, author (s) will be requested to send full manuscript, including results, tables, figures and references.
All submissions should report original and previously unpublished work, no matter the type of research, review or policy paper you are presenting. Manuscripts should meet the format set by the Conference committee and are subject to review.

Please note: You must provide your presentation for preloading. Please submit your presentation (in English, copy-edited and proofread) by email to info@nastconference.org no later than 5 days before the events starts.
If for any reason, you are unable to submit your presentation in advance of the Conference, then you can preload your presentation to a laptop via registration desk when you arrive at the Conference, you must preload this at least two hours before you are due to present.
