International Conference on Mountain Hydrology and Cryosphere (ICMHC-2023)
The International Conference on Mountain Hydrology and Cryosphere (ICMHC-2023) is organized by the Nepal committee for the International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS) in association with Kathmandu University (HiCCDRC, KU), The Small Earth Nepal (SEN), Society of Hydrologists and Meteorologists (SOHAM) - Nepal, Tribhuvan University (CDHM and CDES, TU), International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), UNESCO-Nepal and Global Water Future (GWF) of the University of Saskatchewan. The other associated partners of the conference are the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST), Water Resources Research and Development Centre (WRRDC), International Center for Water Resources and Global Change (ICWRGC) and Center of Research for Environment, Energy and Water (CREEW), Nepal.
The objective of the conference is to tackle the various challenges concerning mountain hydrology and cryosphere, along with their interconnected industries. The event will offer graduate and post-graduate students, researchers, engineers, scientists, policymakers, development workers, and other related professionals a platform to showcase their research endeavors, share observations, findings, and novel concepts to improve both human life and the environment. The conference will feature distinguished keynote speakers who will present on critical issues, and a few selected peer-reviewed papers will be published in the Proceedings of the International Association of Hydrological Sciences (PIAHS).
