The Bagmati Province Government, Ministry of Social Development, Education Development Directorate, Hetauda, has announced a province-level essay competition for secondary-level students (Grades 9–12) as part of the celebrations marking the 18th Republic Day.

The competition aims to encourage students to reflect on the achievements and challenges of Nepal’s republican system through critical and creative writing.

The theme for the competition is “18 Years of the Establishment of the Republic: Implementation and Challenges”.

Submission Process

Participants must prepare a handwritten essay certified by the school principal. The submission should include the student’s full name, address, class, and contact number.

Schools are required to submit the certified essays in PDF format to the official email address provided by the Education Development Directorate.

Evaluation and Awards

An evaluation committee formed by the Education Development Directorate will assess all eligible entries submitted within the deadline.

The competition offers the following prizes:

  • First Prize: NPR 15,000 and certificate
  • Second Prize: NPR 12,000 and certificate
  • Third Prize: NPR 10,000 and certificate
  • Consolation Prize: NPR 5,000 and certificate
