The one-year Bachelor of Education in Pedagogical Sciences (B.Ed.PS) is one of the initial teacher training programs designed for individuals who already hold a Bachelor's degree in any subject or discipline and wish to pursue a career as a school teacher. Upon completing this program and obtaining a professional degree, graduates are eligible to apply for a teacher license.
The program fosters a collaboration among the university, private teacher development institutions, and schools, aiming to enhance both theoretical and practical knowledge for prospective and in-service teachers. Participants receive theoretical instruction from university tutors and simultaneously gain practical experience in real classrooms under the guidance of mentors.
The program is designed to equip prospective and in-service teachers with the technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge necessary for a professional teaching career. It includes courses on digital skills, pedagogies, and diverse content areas, offering opportunities to use various internet resources, applications, and learning management systems to develop teaching and learning platforms and techniques.
Additionally, the program emphasizes project-based learning with innovative technologies, allowing students to build skills in planning, creating, and implementing pedagogical ideas through hands-on training. A full-time student can complete the course in two consecutive semesters.
