The Nepalese Army, also referred to as the Gorkhali Army, constitutes the primary land warfare force for Nepal, actively participating internationally and serving as a key component of the country's military. Participation in the army is voluntary, and individuals can enroll from the age of 18 onwards. Formerly recognized as The Royal Nepalese Army (RNA) during the monarchy system in Nepal, it underwent a name change to the Nepalese Army on May 28, 2008, coinciding with the abolition of the 238-year-old monarchy.

Admission Criteria

01. Qualifications?

Physical

  • Age : Minimum 18 years and maximum 21 years
  • Height : Minimum 5 feet and 2 inches
  • Weight : Minimum 50 Kgs
  • Chest: 31 cm (expand upto 2cm)

Documents

  • Nepali Citizenship (NPP) of applicant
  • District Level passed documents
