MDS Oral Pathology is a 3- year postgraduate course involving different disciplines of dentistry. MDS in Oral Pathology is the science of dentistry that explores on an advanced level, the nature, characteristics, cause, effects and diagnoses of diseases affecting the oral and maxillofacial regions and study of the immune system, facilitating appropriate treatment of the same. The course aims to provide competence to students in dealing with the nature of oral diseases, their causes and effects.
MDS Oral Pathology is a 3-year PG program run by Kathmandu University in its constituent and affiliated medical colleges.
The entrance Test for the MDS Oral Pathology program is conducted by the Medical Education Commission (MEC), Government of Nepal, and candidate selection is done as per MEC guidelines by MEC.
The total Fee for MDS Oral Pathology in 2024 is NRs. 23,81,760 /- for Nepali students. Students of foreign nationality must pay 1.6 times the fee of Nepalese students.

Eligibility
- BDS or equivalent from institutions recognized by the government of Nepal
- Registered in Nepal Medical Council
- Registered in the respective medical council of the applicant's own country for foreign candidates
- One year experience
- Candidate should score a minimum of 50% (Pass Marks) in the Entrance Examinations conducted by Medical Education Commission for being eligible to be on the merit list
