The Master’s in Unmanned Aircraft System, Aviation and Operation Management at Lumbini Buddhist University is a 2-year postgraduate program designed to develop skilled professionals in UAV technology, aviation operations, and drone-based applications through blended learning and practical training.
The Master’s in Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS), Aviation and Operation Management is a 2-year postgraduate program designed to develop highly skilled professionals in the rapidly growing field of drone technology, aviation systems, and low-altitude operations. The program is delivered in a blended learning mode combining theoretical knowledge, practical training, and field-based application.
The program is structured into 4 semesters with a total of 60 credit hours, offering both technical (engineering) and managerial specialization pathways, enabling students to build careers aligned with industry demands and emerging technologies.
Students graduating from this program can pursue diverse career opportunities in areas such as drone piloting, aerial cinematography, filmmaking, agricultural monitoring, disaster response, surveillance, logistics, and transportation systems. The program also prepares graduates for roles in government and security agencies such as the Nepal Army and Nepal Police, as UAV operators and system specialists.
In addition, the curriculum emphasizes innovation in heavy-load UAV development (up to 600 kg payload capacity), local-level service applications, and integration of drones in sectors such as agriculture, logistics, and public service delivery.
