Fellowship in Urogynaecology (FU) is a one year (24 months) training programme. 

The curriculum will focus on the different elements of urogynecology, with appropriate balance of training through service, supervised teaching learning and research.

Urogynecology is a sub-specialty of Gynecology and in some countries is also known as Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. A urogynecologist manages clinical problems associated with dysfunction of the pelvic floor and bladder. Pelvic floor disorders affect the bladder, reproductive organs, and bowels.

Support will be provided by international faculty through in particular from the Foundation of International Urogynecology Association (www.fiuga.org).

Eligibility

Candidates who meet the following eligibility criteria can apply for Fellowship:

a. For Emergency Medicine, Post graduate degree (MDGP or Family Medicine) from Institution/University recognized byBPKIHS/NMC.

b. For Urogynaecology, Post graduate degree (MD/MS Obstetrics and Gynecology) from Institution/University recognized byBPKIHS/NMC.

c. For Spine Surgery, MS in Orthopaedics Surgery or Neurosurgery from Institution/University recognized by BPKIHS/NMC.

d. Registered with the Nepal Medical Council (NMC) for post graduate degree.

e. At least one year experience in relevant speciality following Post graduate education.

If a candidate does not fulfill the above criteria or submits false documents and sits for the entrance examination, s/he will be debarred from getting admission or will have to leave the course if false documents are found at a later date.
