The Basic Boutique Course at Fit Fashion Design Academy spans over 3 months, providing a comprehensive introduction to pattern making. The curriculum covers essential topics such as pattern making tools, basic pattern concepts including grainline and patternmaking terminology, and the fundamentals of measurements, including dress forms and model measurement. Students delve into tailoring techniques and gain insights into sewing machines, their parts, and functions.

The course emphasizes the construction of various design details, including pleats, pockets, tucks, plackets, facings, piping, zippers, and more. Students learn to draft a basic pattern set, comprising the bodice block, basic sleeves, and basic skirt. The curriculum further explores variations in kurta, sleeves, skirt, circular lehenga, blouse, and Chaubandi Cholo.

Additionally, students are introduced to different hand stitches and machine stitches such as basting, hemming, back stitch, blanket stitch, running stitch, French seam, lapped seam, top stitch, and Hongkong stitch. Throughout the program, participants are guided by industry experts, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of the craft and preparing them for a successful journey in the world of fashion design.
