Eligibility

Admission Criteria
For the admission for Bachelor of Arts in Gender and Development Studies (GDS) at University of Nepal (UNepal); an applicant must have completed Grade XII or equivalent examinations. He/she has to submit Statement of Purpose (SOP) and participate in entrance exam and in-person interview.
The admission evaluation process is weighted as follows:
- Entrance Examination (50%): In person entrance examination is compulsory for admission in University of Nepal. Virtual exams can be arranged in certain valid circumstances. The entrance examination assesses analytical ability, critical thinking, communication skills, and intellectual curiosity.
- Interview (25%): In person interview is compulsory for admission in University of Nepal. Virtual interviews can be arranged in certain valid circumstances.

Fee
The total fee for the Bachelor of Arts in Gender and Development Studies (2026-2030) is Rs. 8,30,000.
- Year I: Rs. 2,30,000 (includes a one-time admission fee of Rs. 30,000)
- Years II, III, and IV: Rs. 2,00,000 per year
- Per Semester Fee: Rs. 1,00,000 (Registration Fee: Rs. 25,000 + Tuition Fee: Rs. 75,000)
In the first year, students pay Rs. 1,30,000 at the time of admission and Rs. 1,00,000 at the beginning of Semester II. Thereafter, students pay Rs. 1,00,000 at the beginning of each semester through Semester VIII.Notes:

Curricular Structure
