BA (Hons) Hospitality Management

Bachelors

The University of Highlands and Islands invites aspiring students to seize an incredible opportunity to study and work with the best in Scottish hospitality by enrolling in the BA (Hons) Hospitality Management program. This program offers a world-renowned qualification in a country celebrated for its excellence in the field, complemented by paid placements in partner organizations or the student's existing workplace.

Students can expect the experience of a lifetime, with interviews at partner establishments across Perthshire, including the world-renowned Gleneagles Hotel, and guaranteed placements in the local area. The beautiful work setting in the rooftop restaurant overlooking the city of Perth provides an exceptional environment for students to collaborate with trainee chefs in creating traditional and fusion Scottish recipes, fine dining menus, gastro-style burgers, and a variety of cuisines that reflect both local and international cultures.

By working closely with the Professional Cookery course and engaging with local and international students, participants will have the opportunity to contribute to every aspect of the themed events held at the Brahan restaurant. From designing props to room decor, students will engage with customers and support each other as a team throughout the course. In the second year, students can choose their theme, plan an event, and manage their own night as general manager, with support from their group. Recent themes such as Phantom of the Opera, Disney, Field to Fork, Alice in Wonderland, and the Elements highlight the incredible opportunities to unleash creativity while gaining essential knowledge for a successful career in the hospitality industry.
