B.A (Hons) Fashion Design

The BA (Hons) in Fashion Design program is a three-year professional course with 120 credits offered in collaboration with Teesside University in UK. It is a unique course in Nepal that combines global knowledge, disciplinary skills, creative simulation, and practical application. The program employs multimedia instructional methods to expose students to local and global market trends and industry relevance.

This international curriculum provides students with comprehensive knowledge of the fashion industry at both national and international levels. It integrates theory and practical classes, allowing students to gain hands-on experience while learning and further enhancing their skills. The program focuses on skill development to prepare students for success.

The course structure encompasses various disciplinary skills, creative simulation, and practical application. Through multimedia instructional methods, students engage in creative merchandising, marketing, computer-aided design (CAD), and explore fashion trends through field visits and project presentations to the industry. Computer-aided design facilitates visualizing design concepts, pattern plotting, and modifying sketches to improve the cut and color blend. The program also includes computer-aided commercial graphic design, which emphasizes constant innovation and updates for creative versatility.

The training and course structure emphasizes software orientation, competence, and professional excellence. Throughout the program, students develop the ability to evaluate, predict, and respond to rapidly changing trends, keeping them ahead of the curve. 

The program has been approved by the Ministry, and students have the option to transfer their credits if desired.
