Admission Guidelines

Students applying for the SWOYAMBHU INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE shall be selected for admission based on three stage screening process:

Written Test

Applicants are required to appear in the written test CMAT (Central Management, Admission Test) conducted by the Faculty of Management,  and BCA Entrance exam conducted by Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Tribhuvan University. Students must secure at least 40% in CMAT in order to qualify for the interview.

The test will follow the standard testing pattern and may include areas like verbal ability, quantitative ability, logical reasoning and general awareness.

Interview

On the basis of the performance in written test, candidates will be shortlisted for interview. The campus grants admission to the successful candidates strictly on merit basis.

Eligibility

Bachelor of Business Management (BBM)

  • Minimum D grade in each subject with CGPA 1.8 or more in Grade 11 and 12, Or,
  • Minimum D+ grade in each grade 11 and 12 with CGPA 1.8 or more who passes in 2078 or before, Or,
  • Minimum score of second division marks in 10+2, PCL or equivalent in any discipline

Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS)

  • Must have successfully completed the 10+2 in business/ commerce or an equivalent course from a Higher Secondary School Board or from Tribhuvan University or from other University/ Board recognized by T.U.
  • Must have studied English as a full paper in 10+2 or equivalent program.
  • Must have secured the minimum marks in 10+2 or equivalent program prescribed by the Faculty of Management, TU.
  • Must satisfy any other criteria as prescribed by the Faculty of Management, TU.

Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA)

  • Passed after 2079 B.S.

    • Minimum D grade in each subject of grade 11 and 12 with a CGPA 1.8 or more

    • A minimum score of second division marks in 10+2, PCL, or equivalent in any discipline.

    • Students who have passed grade 11 and are waiting for grade 12 results can also apply. However, they have to submit all the required documents at the time of admission.

  • Passed before 2079 B.S.

    • Minimum D grade in each subject of grade 11 and 12 with a CGPA 2.0 or more
      A minimum score of second division marks in 10+2, PCL, or equivalent in any discipline.

Master of Business Studies (MBS)

  • Passed bachelor program or equivalent in any discipline from board/institution/university recognized by TU.
  • Secured at least 40 marks in Central Management Admission Test (CMAT) conducted by FOM, TU.
