ABOUT

Nepal Information Technology (NIT) imparts Open and Distance(ODL) mode of education. It is the Overseas Study Centre (OSC) of World’s largest open university- Indira Gandhi National Open University(IGNOU). The programs offered at NIT are solely Academic. ODL has been proved to be the best mode of education for this era, especially for those who have missed out the chances of accomplishing higher education due to various constraints like social, spatial and temporal as well.

Ever since its establishment in the year 2008, NIT has been providing various programs. NIT is a legally registered institution according to the laws of the Government of Nepal. It is located at the DAV Complex, Jawalakhel, Lalitpur.

NIT offers a well suited environment for the learners and some of the features of them are as follows:  

The Pedagogy: The courses are based on blended mode of learning that comprises: - 

  • Counseling classes on Saturdays,

Admission Guidelines

There are two cycles of Admission; both for semester based as well as yearly based programs- January cycle and July cycle. Round the year “walk- in- admissions’ is being offered.
