An internationally recognized and demand-driven program affiliated with Kathmandu University, Bachelor in Development Studies (BDevS) emphasizes sustainable development and practices, introducing scholars to an interdisciplinary study of Economics, Sociology, Environment, Development Management, and Research. Launched in 1999, this program equips students with skills in sustainable development, policy analysis, and community planning.
This semester system program spreads over 8 semesters in 4 years. Each semester consists of 16 intensive study weeks β theoretical and practical. The course contains 130 credits.
Upon the completion of this program, BDevs graduates will be equipped with the necessary knowledge and practical skills on GIS (Geographical Information System), Environmental Impact Assessment, Project Management, and Evaluation, Development Research, and Community Mobilization.
