Admission Procedure

Candidates seeking admission in this college must pass the entrance tests of PURBANCHAL UNIVERSITY as well as the college’s group discussion and interview. The final & ultimate decision regarding admission is taken by the admission committee.

Eligibility

Minimum Requirement:

+2 in Science/ Intermediate in Science/ Intermediate in Engineering from a recognised board or university with a minimum 45%.

Internship and Industrial Training

Internship and Industrial Training are mandatory for BHM, BHCM, BBA, BID, MBA, and MHM students to partially fulfill their academic requirements. KIC supports and manages the internship and Industrial Training for its students. For students of Hotel and Hospitality Management, the college arranges paid internships in five-star hotels across Nepal, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, the UAE, the USA, and other European countries. It also assists BBA and BID students by managing the reputed corporate houses, banks, companies, and consultancies.

During their studies, the College organizes frequent field trips for its students across all programs, both within and outside the valley, to ensure that they understand the practical aspects of what they are learning.

KIC has been supporting its students for job placement in Nepal and abroad.

Assessment and Grading System

The performance of individual graduates is evaluated according to Purbanchal University’s assessment and grading system. The assessment & grading system has been divided into two broad categories: Internal Assessment and Semester-end Assessments (Board Exam), as administered by Purbanchal University. The weightage of  Internal Assessment and Semester–end Assessments is 40:60 in master and 20:80 in bachelor 's, respectively.  The Internal Assessment evaluation is conducted under the direct supervision, monitoring, and control of the faculty concerned with the subject & college management. Essentially, the Internal Assessment consists of an article review, a case study, a seminar presentation, fieldwork, quizzes, attendance, and other ongoing evaluations.

Credit Transfer

The courses offered here at KIC are of international standard and are internationally recognized. After completing 25% of the required credit hours at our college, students can easily apply for further study abroad. Credit transfer is accepted in European, Australian, Singaporean, and US colleges and universities. A college counselor will assist the students with Credit Transfer arrangements and provide information on further study abroad if required.

KIC is an institutional member of the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education (I-CHRIE), USA.
