Kantipur Engineering College (KEC), which is run effectively by qualified faculty and administration, is situated in Dhapakhel, Lalitpur. Founded in 1998 with the primary goal of developing an ideal platform for engineering education in Nepal, the college is affiliated with Tribhuvan University.

Admission Guidelines
Eligibility
Students who want to attend KEC must pass the entrance examination conducted by the Institute of Engineering (IOE), Tribhuvan University, and have a minimum grade of "C" in all of their Class 11 and 12 courses or a score of 45% on the Diploma or an equivalent degree.
IOE conducts computer-based entrance examinations in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English. The entire test consists of objective-type questions and lasts two hours in a single sitting.
To get enrolled at KEC, the student must apply to Kantipur Engineering College through an online application process (www.kec.edu.np). The college enrolls students as per the merit list published by the college based on the IOE Entrance Rank.

- Regular Scholarships: 10% of the admitted full-paid quotas get scholarships.
- Kantipur Talent Student Scholarships: Several alluring scholarships will be awarded to students who earned high grades in the KEC Model Entrance, which the college conducted before the entrance examination conducted by IOE.
- Girls Scholarship: Girls students get an additional waiver on the admission fee.
