ABOUT
Gauradaha Agriculture Campus (GAC), a constituent campus of Tribhuvan University, stands as the premier Agriculture College within the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science. Founded in 2017 A.D. in Gauradaha-2, Jhapa, it initially spanned 9 Bigha of land with accompanying buildings. The campus is driven by the mission to cultivate proficient professionals in agriculture and related fields, while advancing research, development, and technology diffusion in agriculture. Graduates from GAC hold prominent positions across various sectors, including ministries, departments, I/NGOs, and academic institutions.
Objectives of GAC
- Promote excellence in instruction, research, and technology dissemination in agriculture.
- Develop technically competent agricultural graduates ready to apply the knowledge and skills in technical agriculture, agricultural extension, agricultural education, agribusiness, and agricultural and rural development programs.
- Encourage and support faculty members and students for research and scholarly activities relevant to the needs of Nepalese agriculture and farmers.
- Foster students’ self-development, commitment, and responsibility for the welfare of Nepalese society.
