Bachelor in Development Studies (BDevS)

The Bachelor in Development Studies program is a multidisciplinary program designed to meet the requirements of skilled human resources in the field of socio-economic development of Nepal. The course covers the diverse issue of development like economics, gender, population, governance, environment, sustainable development, research and project management, etc. The course is appropriate for students who want to pursue their career in INGOs and international organizations, the government sectors, NGOs, and development projects. Further study in foreign countries and research are among the good options a BDevS graduate can choose. Some of our BDevS graduates have started to create their own spheres in the professional and academic spaces. Specifically, the BDevS program has been designed to:

• Develop the academic skills and attitudes necessary to comprehend and evaluate the concepts of social and economic development.
• Assist students to solve various problems in society by means of practical approaches using models and innovative solutions.
• Develop the ability to review, consolidate, extend and apply the knowledge and techniques to real-world situations.
• Impart students the principles and practices, challenges, and opportunities of development for making the society prosperous and advanced.
