Sculptor

Sculptor designs and constructs three-dimensional art works, using materials such as stone, wood, plaster, and metal and employing various manual and tool techniques. The sculptor needs knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Some of the duties required to be done by a Sculptor:

  • Carve objects from stone, concrete, plaster, wood, or other material, using abrasives and tools, such as chisels, gouges, and mall
  • Model substances, such as clay or wax, using fingers and small hand tools to form objects
