Tribhuvan University, Institute of Forestry (IOF) announces the opening of the entrance application form for enrollment in the B.Sc. Forestry program for the academic year 2082/83. 

Interested candidates should fill out the ONLINE APPLICATION FORM and pass the entrance exam to get qualified for admission to the constituent campuses of the Institute of Forestry and the affiliated college.

  • Application Fee: Rs. 3200 (Rs. 100 extra for each reserved category)
  • Application Deadline:  Bhadra 20, 2082 (September 05, 2025)
  • Application Deadline by paying the double fee:  Bhadra 25, 2082 (September 10 2025), up to 5 PM
  • Entrance Examination Date and Time: Bhadra 28, 2082; 11 AM onwards
  • Entrance Exam Centers:
    • Kathmandu: Public Administration Campus, Balkhu, Kathmandu
    • Pokhara: Institute of Forestry, Pokhara Campus
    • Hetauda: Institute of Forestry, Hetauda Campus

Eligibility

Students with an Intermediate of Science (I.Sc.), Technical Certificate Level (TCL) in Forestry, Diploma in Forestry, +2 in Science, A-level or equivalent degree with at least 100-full-mark-courses in mathematics and biology, and a minimum CGPA 2.0 or 40% marks in aggregate can apply for admission into the Bachelor of Science in Forestry Program.

Fee Structure

General Fees: Admission fee for the first semester is NPR 8,320/-

Capitation Fees: Among the candidates who pass the entrance examination, admissions will be taken to the capitation seats based on merit order. For the ordinary and inclusive capitation, NPR 315,000/- (Three hundred fifteen thousand) will be charged, of which 50% (NPR 157,500/-) should be paid at the time of admission.

The capitation fee of NPR 78,750/—will need to be deposited in the respective campus during enrollment in the second semester of the first year and the first semester of the second year, along with the prescribed admission fee. The respective campuses may determine additional fees based on the facilities provided.

Required Documents

  • Copies of Academic Transcripts.
  • If an applicant is a graduate of a university other than Tribhuvan University, he/she must submit a certificate of migration and a certificate of recognition and equivalence of his/her educational qualification from the Curriculum Development Centre, TU.
  • A copy of Character Certificate
  • A copy of Citizenship Certificate
  • Three recent passport-sized photographs
  • In the case of ‘government department seats,’ pre-approval letters for application submission and letters of nomination for admission. These letters must be from the relevant departments of the candidates.
