The School of Education Kathmandu University is implementing a multi-country research project "Linking Education and Labor Markets: Under what conditions can Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) improve the income of the youth?" (LELAM).The project is funded by the Swiss Agency of Development and Cooperation (SDC) and Swiss National Science Foundation and is being led by Swiss Federal Institute for Technology, ETH Zurich, Switzerland. Apart from Nepal, this project is also being carried out in Benin, Costa Rica, and Chile.
School of Education Kathmandu University invites applications for one Postdoc position under the LELAM project. This position is a full-time position and the selected candidate is responsible for overall management of the project, carrying out research and publications within the main research theme of the project, offering academic courses, conducting training, etc. The selected candidate will be appointed initially for one year with possibility of extension.
Candidates who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply
A good understanding of technical and vocational education sector, economics, sociology and statistics is highly preferred.
Apply by November 3, 2019 with an application letter along with your two-page CV, citizenship certificate, one published research paper (preferably in TEVT field), and a 1000-words note reflecting your perspective on TVET in general and Nepali TVET in particular.
