Agriculture and Forestry University, Faculty of Animal Science, Veterinary Science, and Fisheries, Dean's Office, Rampur, Chitwan, Nepal, invites prospective students to apply for the B.V.Sc. & A.H. and B.Sc. Fisheries programs for the academic year 2081/082. Eligible candidates who meet the minimum educational criteria are encouraged to submit their applications.

Application Fee Details
- The application Fee is NPR 4,000 for a single program (either B.V.Sc. & A.H. or B.Sc. Fisheries), and the total fee is NPR 5,000, to apply to both programs.
- Fees must be paid using the online payment link in the application form. Applicants should ensure their full name and mobile number are entered accurately.
- Multiple applicants' payments from the same mobile number will not be accepted.
- A confirmation of successful application submission will be sent via email. Please select the correct faculty carefully, as payments made to the wrong faculty are non-refundable.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must have passed the SEE/SLC or an equivalent examination from a recognized institution with at least a Second Division or a C+ grade.
- Additionally, candidates must have completed 10+2 in Science/I.Sc., A-Level, or proficiency certificates/diplomas in disciplines such as Animal Science, Agricultural Science, Forestry Science, or Health Sciences (including General Medicine, Medical Lab Technology, Ophthalmic Science, Dental Science, Pharmacy, Radiography, Ayurveda, or Physiotherapy).
- The required subjects are English, Chemistry, and Biology (each with a minimum of 100 marks) and Mathematics and Physics (each with a minimum of 50 marks). Applicants must have at least 50% total marks or a C+ grade (2.4 CGPA). A minimum combined C grade is required for subjects with both theory and practical components.
- Applicants who do not meet these criteria will be ineligible to apply and not be permitted to take the entrance exam.

There will be 120 questions, with a time limit of 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Admission Criteria
The entrance exam will account for 100% of the admission score, with a minimum passing score of 50%. A merit list will be compiled based on these scores. In the event of a tie, rankings will be determined by the 10+2 CGPA, SEE/SLC scores, and subject-wise scores in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics.

- Prospective students for the B.V.Sc. & A.H. and B.Sc. Fisheries programs at Agriculture and Forestry University must adhere to the following admission procedures:
- All applicants must present original documents and pay the admission fees at the Dean's Office Accounts Section within the specified date and time.
- Applicants or guardians must also visit the Faculty’s Academic Administration for further processing.
- Applicants submitting incomplete or falsified documents will be disqualified from admission.
- The admission process and specific dates will be announced later.
- Students who pass the entrance exam and wish to apply under the University Development Fund (UDF) and Faculty Development Fund (FDF) quotas must do so within the specified timeframe and format, as will be announced. For UDF admission, the fee is NPR 600,000 for B.V.Sc. & A.H. and NPR 310,000 for B.Sc. Fisheries are payable in two installments: 50% in the first semester and 50% in the third semester.
- Under the FDF program, 50 students will be admitted based on merit. FDF fees are NPR 1,200,000, payable in three installments: 50% in the first semester, 30% in the third semester, and 20% in the fifth semester.
Admission Slots Reserved for Student Based on Quota
The following quotas are available for admission: Provincial, Female, Dalit, Indigenous, Madhesi, Martyr Family, Conflict-Affected, Disabled, Staff, Local, and Nepal Government Staff.
Provincial Quota:
Applicants must hold citizenship from the respective province and have completed SEE/SLC from a fully government-funded community school. A recommendation letter from the District Education Coordination Committee confirming the school's status is required, and the original letter must be presented during admission. Failure to provide this will result in disqualification.
Other Quota:
Applicants must submit relevant certificates or recommendation letters during the application process.
- Dalit Quota: Recommendation from the National Dalit Commission or Local Authority.
- Indigenous Quota: Recommendation from the Federation of Indigenous Nationalities or Local Authority.
- Madhesi Quota: Recommendation from the District Administration Office or Local Authority.
- Conflict-Affected Family Quota: Relationship verification (spouse, son, or daughter) from the District Administration Office or relevant ministry.
- Martyr Family Quota: Relationship verification (spouse, son, or daughter) from the District Administration Office or relevant ministry.
- Disabled Quota: Recommendation from the Ministry of Women, Children, and Senior Citizens or Local Authority.
- Staff Quota: Relationship verification (spouse, son, or daughter), citizenship certificate, and a recommendation from the Faculty. Admission is merit-based within this quota, limited to two candidates. Benefits already received from another faculty will be accounted for.
- Local Quota: Recommendation from Bharatpur Metropolitan City, where the Faculty is located.
- Nepal Government Staff Quota: Recommendation from the Department of Animal Services.
Selection for the Disability Quota will consider both the category of disability and merit.
Admissions for the B.V.Sc. & A.H. and B.Sc. Fisheries programs will be carried out based on the distribution of reserved quotas.

One UDF seat is reserved for applicants under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Department of Livestock Services, Government of Nepal. Admission to this seat will be based on the merit of the entrance exam. The remaining seats in this quota, excluding the reserved one, will also be allocated according to the UDF quota system.
Notes
- A total of 50 students will be admitted to the FDF program based on the merit list.
- Students are not required to utilize the student loan facility.
