Admissions open for Master in Public Policy and Governance (MPPG) with Scholarships

Application for MPPG Scholarship 2072 (2015)

Applications are invited for admission to the places available for Central Department of Public Administration, Tribhuvan University in the MPPG Program at North South University, Dhaka, Bangladesh

Key Features

1. This is a partnership program among North South University, Dhaka, Bangladesh; University of Bergen, Norway; Tribhuvan University, Nepal; and University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka.
2. This is a two-year master degree program aimed at providing high quality research based education in public policy and governance.
3. Candidates selected must register as full-time students. Each of the candidates finally selected will get full tuition waiver and other facilities (Field visit, allowance for thesis writing, library and computer lab facilities, etc.). All foreign students will get subsistence allowance (per month 15,000 Bangladeshi Taka for 23 months) and two way airfare.
4. Total number of seats: 22. Out of these, 20 with full tuition waiver (12 for Bangladesh, 05 for Nepal and 03 for Sri Lanka) and 2 with self-finance (open to all professionals as well as fresh graduates).
5. Eligible candidates: career civil servants, executives from NGOs, academics, researchers and fresh graduates.
6. Admission test will be on English, General Knowledge, analytical skills and basic mathematics.
7. The Candidates will be selected by international committee.

General Prerequisites

1. 3-4 year Bachelor degree.
2. Minimum 2nd class (or GPA 2.75 on 4 point scale)
3. Maximum age limit is 42 years as on 2072, Poush 17 (January 1st, 2016)

Specific Prerequisites

1. Candidates selected must submit documents of leave of approval from their respective employers.
2. For fresh graduates: One letter of reference from the academic institution last attended.

1. Application Form Distribution starts: 2072, Shrawan 19 (4 August, 2015)
2. Last Date for Submission of Application: 2072, Bhadra 17 (3 September, 2015)
3. Admission Test: 2072, Bhadra 18 (4 September, 2015)
4. Time: 3.30-5.30 pm
5. Classes Start: Poush, 2072 (January, 2016)
