Admission Open for MPhil in Management at Kathmandu University

Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM) invites applications for admission to the Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Management Program.

KUSOM’s MPhil in Management is a research-oriented master’s degree program that provides students with a substantial foundation in state-of-the-art academic knowledge in management, along with advanced research skills.

The MPhil in Management is a two-year program, with the option to complete it in three years. Under certain conditions, a one-year grace period may be granted for completing the dissertation work.

The MPhil Scholars are required to take a minimum of 40 credit hours of courses, which include core courses, concentrations, and electives (for enhancing conceptual and analytical abilities as well as research-oriented skills in management), along with an independent research dissertation (for developing research capabilities).

Eligibility for M.Phil. in Management (KU)

  • A Master’s Degree in Management, General Management, Development Management, Public Policy, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or Economics related disciplines; or a Master's degree in selected Social Sciences disciplines from the universities recognized by Kathmandu University
  • Minimum CGPA of 3.25 on a scale of 4.0 or 60% in the Master’s degree
  • Candidates from non-management backgrounds, if selected, may require to take some pre-requisite graduate-level courses as specified by the school before or concurrent with the prescribed MPhil courses

Form Submission Deadline: Tuesday, 12 August 2025

Applicants are required to sit for Kathmandu University  Management Research Admission Test (MRAT), and make a presentation of the concept paper where applicable.
