Admissions open for Undergraduate Programme
in BACHELOR IN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
School of Arts of Kathmandu University announces opening of admissions for a four-year Bachelor programme in Community Development for the Fall session of 2013.
The Bachelor in community development program emphasizes on:
Developing an understanding of rural, urban, context, local, regional and global context
Building skills critically about the core elements of substantive issues in community Development.
Enabling students to work with development; government policies and programs and its implementation and analysis of its loop holes and skills to develop macro-micro linkages.
Generating skills in communication; working with individuals, families and groups; and community.
The entire course is highly participatory and practice oriented and students are expected to take leadership in field related activities as well as in class discussions.
Eligibility:
Students with 10+2, intermediate degree or any other equivalent degree in any discipline from a recognized educational institution with minimum aggregate of 50 percent CGPA 2.5 out of 4 are eligible to apply for the programme. Also securing an acceptable ranking in the entrance exam will be essential. The entrance exam will test the candidate's language proficiency and analytical abilities.
Note: Applicants who have passed class XI and waiting for class XII results can also apply for a provisional admission. However they will have to produce the proof of having passed the exam before the commencemen of the course.
