In this video, Mr. Surendra Subedi, the College Chief of Kathmandu Model College (KMC), introduces the Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) program affiliated with Tribhuvan University (TU). Designed to move beyond general management education, this four-year program focuses on producing sector-specific experts to meet the evolving needs of the modern corporate and entrepreneurial landscape. Mr. Subedi emphasizes that while the course shares a strong foundation with traditional BBA programs, its primary strength lies in its specialized elective modules that prepare students for immediate professional impact.

The curriculum is uniquely structured with an 80/20 split, where 80% focuses on essential management foundations and the remaining 20% is dedicated to specialized areas such as Banking, Insurance, Entrepreneurship, and Cooperatives. Eligibility for the program requires students to have completed their 10+2 education in any stream with at least a 'D+' grade in all subjects. Admission is competitive, requiring candidates to pass the TU CMAT entrance exam followed by a rigorous personal interview at KMC, where the institution looks for students with a visionary and proactive mindset.

KMC distinguishes itself by offering an ecosystem that goes far beyond the classroom, including a dedicated Innovation Lab and an Incubation Center. To foster a true startup culture, the college provides up to NPR 20 lakhs in seed funding for viable student business ideas and leverages a massive network of over 40,000 alumni to provide mentorship and market access. Graduates are not only prepared for high-level corporate roles but are also fully equipped to launch their own ventures or pursue advanced degrees like an MBA both domestically and internationally.

Mr. Subedi concludes by urging students to prioritize their long-term career goals over short-term trends. He highlights that KMC actively supports passionate students through significant internal scholarships, ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent talented individuals from becoming successful entrepreneurs. By choosing the BBM path at KMC, students are empowered to move away from a "job-seeker" mentality and instead become "job-creators" who contribute meaningfully to the national economy.
