Technical Education Should be Accessible in Sudurpaschim through Government Support | Hem Raj Pant | Sarthak Shikshya

In this video, Professor Hem Raj Pant, Vice Chancellor, Far-Western University, shares his year-long journey after being appointed as the recent Vice-Chancellor of the university. He shares his experiences along with the existing and newly introduced faculties and programs in the medical and engineering fields in the past year. He further emphasizes faculty exchange and student exchange programs with the neighboring universities in India, planned for the upcoming years. 

Highlighting his experiences working as a Professor at Pulchowk Campus, IOE, Pant mentions the importance of government support, partnerships with NGO/INGOs, and international collaboration to expand the impact of any institution. Moreover, he discusses the challenges that come with leadership and the need to address them through dialogue and discussions. While he talks about his further plans for the tenure, he envisions mobilizing capable human resources in technical education, investing in research and development, team building, initiating governmental and international collaboration, and enhancing employment opportunities for the students. 

Professor Pant strongly expresses the need to make technical education accessible to the youth of Sudurpaschim owing to its growing demands. He places strong emphasis on the need for government support in promoting technical education, which he considers a key area for creating opportunities. He highlights the importance of teamwork in successfully running an educational institution.
