In this video, Mr. Krishna Prasad Adhikari, the newly elected President of the Private and Residential Schools Organization Nepal (PABSON), discusses different dimensions of providing quality education and his long-term vision for the students, teachers, and schools. He emphasizes that quality education and skill-based learning have been a top priority from the very beginning. He believes that quality infrastructure in schools is essential to achieving this goal.
In today’s era of Artificial Intelligence, he underscores the growing importance of technical education. Additionally, he advocates for a policy-driven, curriculum-based approach to propel PABSON schools forward and ensure they remain updated and progressive for the students and parents. Furthermore, he firmly dismisses the idea that private schools should be converted into trusts and ensures they will continue operating within companies through provisions in the School Education Bill.
Concerning student retention, he aims to create employment opportunities for students, enabling them to learn, earn, and become independent at an early age. His long-term vision includes digitizing schools, introducing digital education, and offering international-level leadership training to teachers and principals of the schools under PABSON. Over the next year, he plans to strengthen school infrastructure and make it more child-friendly. On the policy front, he envisions comprehensive support for teachers, including healthcare services, structured examination systems, and initiatives to cultivate more educators. He believes all schools should serve the country, society, and its people, building an environment where young students grow into independent, capable individuals.
