In this video, Kritagya Raj Pandey, Medical Education Common Entrance Examination (MECEE) Batch 2080 Topper and a second-year MBBS student at the Institute of Medicine, talks about how his determination and hard work helped him succeed in one of the toughest entrance examinations in Nepal. He believes that while the entrance examination is highly competitive, it is not overly difficult for those who prepare sincerely and responsibly, as the objective questions are based on the +2 syllabus. Despite requiring months of dedicated effort, he emphasizes that it ultimately comes down to the crucial three hours of the exam that determine the outcome.

He shares that the entrance examination brings a great deal of pressure due to the uncertainty of the results. However, once you join medical education, the motivation to move forward remains strong despite the challenging nature of the course. He believes that many doctors choose to move abroad because of the limited resources, services, and economic opportunities, prompting them to seek better prospects elsewhere. Regarding the standard of education, he highlights that the Institute of Medicine (IOM) is well-equipped with resources and has earned international recognition.

He reflects on how his consistent academic effort played a crucial role in fulfilling his dream of becoming a doctor. For aspiring medical students, he advises starting exam preparation as early as possible and giving their absolute best throughout the journey.
