In this video, Rishikesh Wagle, Dean of the School of Law at Kathmandu University, shares insights about law education at KU and its various bachelors and masters programs. He mentions that they have integrated law education with different disciplines.
The BBM-LLB program combines fundamentals of law and commercial law with business management. Similarly, by integrating economics and law, the BEc-LL.B is a five-year undergraduate program designed to produce theoretically sound lawyers in Nepal. It is a new program.
In recent years, new master's programs in law have also been launched. The LLM in Energy and Infrastructure Law and the Master in Energy and Infrastructure Law were launched to support Nepal's infrastructure and energy development, especially hydropower development.
The primary objective of these courses is to produce skilled legal experts who can contribute significantly to Nepal's development. KUSOL aims to produce professionals who can conduct research and provide legal services with proficiency and expertise. With the launch of these programs, KUSOL hopes to cater to this demand and produce skilled manpower that can contribute to the country's growth and development.
