The Government of Nepal. Ministry of Foreign Affairs is currently inviting applications for the position of Executive Director. Prospective candidates are encouraged to submit their applications within the specified timeframe.

  • Interested candidates are required to submit confidential sealed applications, including necessary documents, following Section 6 of the "Meeting and Selection Procedures of the Recommendation Committee Formed to Recommend the Executive Director of the Institute of Foreign Affairs, 2075."
  • Shortlisted candidates will need to deliver a presentation, presenting a working paper that includes an action plan and vision, on a specified date and time.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must be below the age of sixty-five to apply.
  • A recognized Master's degree is mandatory for eligibility.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience in international law, diplomacy, or economic diplomacy is required.
  • Applicants should have made a notable impact on Nepal's foreign policy and affairs.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a senior managerial role is necessary.

Duties and Obligations

The Executive Director will serve as the committee's member secretary and oversee the administrative operations of the Institute. It is anticipated that they will comply with the directives outlined in the Foreign Affairs Studies Institute Development Committee (Formation) Order (Second Amendment 2080), 2068, as well as the performance agreement.
