The Provincial Public Health Center under the Ministry of Health, Gandaki Province, has announced a vacancy for the position of Psychologist on a contract basis. The notice, published on 2082/12/28 (B.S.), aims to support the Safe Migration (SaMi) Program being implemented across the province.

According to the center, the recruitment is intended to strengthen the capacity, monitoring, and technical support of psychosocial counselors working at the local level. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to make foreign employment safer, more dignified, and better managed.

Required Educational Qualification

  • Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Psychology—specializing in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology—from a recognized university, along with at least two years of relevant work experience. Alternatively, candidates with a Postgraduate Diploma in Counseling and a minimum of three years of experience as a supervisor of psychosocial counselors are also eligible.
  • Or, applicants must have passed a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling, worked for at least 3 years as a supervisor of psychosocial counselors, and completed the psychosocial counseling Training of Trainers (TOT) training prepared by the National Health Training Centre.
  • If the academic qualification was obtained from a foreign educational institution, a certificate of equivalency determined by the concerned authority must be submitted.
  • Candidates must have computer knowledge and be able to use MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Email, Internet, and KOBO Tool with ease, and must be able to type in both Nepali and English.
