Located at Ramghat, Kaski,Western Regional Hospital (WRH) is the second biggest hospital of Nepal and biggest hospital in the Western region with the capacity of 500 beds. 

Western Regional Hospital was established at 2012 BS named as a “Soldiers Board Hospital” and considered as District Hospital with 15 beds in 2019 BS. 

In 2072 BS, Western Regional Hospital is developed as an academic center with the name of PAHS (Pokhara Academy of Health and Sciences). It has taken the approval for running the Master’s level programs. The program is proposed for producing the qualified and skilled manpower in the field of health Sciences.

I feel highly privileged to welcome you to the website of Pokhara Academy Health and Sciences (PAHS), Western Regional Hospital(WRH) . Western Regional Hospital is the second biggest hospital of Nepal. It is a referral hospital of the Western Region. It covers 16 district of the Western Region. It is the biggest government hospital of this area. This hospital was established in 2012 BS as a Soldier Board Hospital and on 2019 as District Hospital with 15 beds, on 2032 BS as a District Hospital with 25 beds , on 2043 as Zonal Hospital with 150 beds, on 2061 as regional hospital with 350 beds , on 2071 as Regional Hospital with 500 beds. Now it is developed as an academic center with the name of PAHS (Pokhara Academy of Health and Sciences) on 2072.

We mainly provide emergency, outdoor, indoor and diagnostic services. Besides these we also have some special services such as safe motherhood program, HIV/ART , PMTUT , VCT , MMT , NRH , SBA , CAC , PAC and many more. Beside some budgets provided from MOH we also generate additional budget from local bodies and we manage almost 50 % of staff from own income source. I request all local body, political leaders, social workers, social organization to build PAHS as a best academy as well as a treatment center at this region. I hope MOH will be supportive to make PAHS as the best health institution of western region of Nepal.
